Freaky Friday again and I had computer problems yet again yesterday..well that’s my excuse and i’m sticking to it. I have come down with an awful cold, my first in about 2 years, so I can’t complain I guess. Mother -inlaws not cooking today so I’ve just rustled up a shepherds pie. You’d think we’d all live on salad here because of the weather but although it’s not cold today its very dull. Having said that people are still swimming in the sea!
So greek words for today swimming – kolimbee, sea – thalassa, and beach – paraleea…..
Kids are off to a paintball party tonight, I think they will be shocked at how much it hurts!

Hi there all, well a bit cloudy today but it hasn’t rained yet. We are chock full of roadworks everywhere in Paphos so I hope no-ones coming out for Christmas as you will be disappointed. It’s a nightmare. Anyway I’m off to Limassol Christmas shoppinh next week there is a fantastic toy shop called Jumbo, we haven’t got one yet in Paphos but I have 15 nieces and nephews to buy for  and I can get everything under one roof. It also has clothes, household stuff, and stationery so great for stocking fillers for all the family.
Looking forward to the X factor this week, it’s getting exciting as everyone wants to win, I think it might be Leon, he’s a bit nervous but he’s good.

Morning All, well it’s likes a summers day here again, not a cloud. I’m sitting on my patio typing this, what a life, well until I have to go and cook lunch for when my lot all come home. Then all hell is let loose I go from a nice quiet morning to feeling like i’m in a zoo, but I love em all to bits. I keep threatening to put the Christmas tree up, Is it a bit too early? and I still have to paint my phone box and get a santa to put in it, but I have to be in the mood. Hubby passed his exams yesterday so he’s well chuffed, guess I’ll have to make a cake or something. Anyway greek today is Thursday – Pemti (i forgot last week) Day – Maira, Night – Nikta, Morning – proee

At last, our phone lines are terrible here today I waited ten minutes to get one page loaded this morning andthen I gave up. It’s a bit better now so I’m typing and ironing at the same time as I’m running out of day. What a shame about Beverly on the X factor, is it a fix as Hope were rubbish on Saturday, I know they’re young and are probably a better bet but even so…… Anyway we went to the blood donors meal on Sat night and I must admit the hotel was lovely so for anyone out there the Cypria Rui Bay looks great. Anyway greek for today is……..

Day 2 from Cyprus

Kali Maira – Good Morning. Well where do I start, not only do we have all the roads up in our village, which has now become very muddy after all our rain, I went to the Hrbour last night and yes you’ve guessed they’ve dug up the main road down there too……….just in time for Christmas. I don’t know how they think here sometimes. I know we’re a year round holiday resort and they have to work but they don’t even work quickly. Anyway there is a waxworks exhibition at the harbour, not exactly Madam Tussauds but not bad. My boys enjoyed it. A bit more greek for your thoughts it’s Friday today and a lot of women here have that as a name it’s Paraskevi So

Saturday – Savvatto (from Sabbath i think)

Hi, this is Newsdolly and I will be reporting every or most days from Cyprus. I will be bringing you the latest news and weather from this sunny island and anything else that takes my fancy. I will also be teaching a bit of greek. I have lived here for fourteen years and apart from looking after my family I spend my time doing my website which is Newsdolly.com and writing. I recently finished my first comedy fiction novel that I self published and can be seen on my site. I wrote this to cheer myself up while recovering from cancer.
